Cancer is always one word that you never want to hear but for some people, it happens. Charlotte was only 26 when she was diagnosed back in May 2021 which became a huge shock to us as we were only getting over our mum who had been diagnosed under a year prior with breast cancer (both in which are now in remission). I decided to do the 43 mile ultra as I was always looking to push myself beyond what I think I can achieve physically and mentally - however this challenge doesn’t even come close to the mental and physical pain both my sister and mum had to go through and I see it as only motivation to get it done.
