Catherine qualified as a dentist from the University of Liverpool in 1989, and her early career in secondary care focused on developing her skills in oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics.

Catherine worked as a general dental practitioner for many years, founding Bloxham Dental Practice in 1996, and during this time developed a special interest in postgraduate education, completing her Fellowship in Dental Surgery, Certificate in Postgraduate Medical Education and Master’s in Law, Medical Practice.

Catherine brings a wealth of senior experience, having held executive leadership and non-executive roles in a variety of organisations, including a large Dental Corporate and the General Dental Council.

In addition to her role as Director of Bloxdent Smiles, Catherine’s current positions include Director of Specialist Orthodontic Solutions, Training Program Director for Foundation Dentists, Thames Valley and Wessex NHS Deanery, and President Elect and Trustee of the Oral Health Foundation Charity.
