I would like to start this issue by saying a huge thank you to everyone who has got involved with National Smile Month so far. Your enthusiasm and dedication to helping us spread positive oral health messages is fantastic.

In June’s edition, we begin by debating whether there is enough investment in the NHS dentistry sector. At present, members of the dental sector do an amazing job of delivering high quality care for Brits across the country but we believe that with more support from our government, even more can be done to better the oral health of the nation

In this issue you will also find a blog post which shares easy ways for you to continue supporting National Smile Month and how you can get the people around you involved as much as possible with our nationwide campaign.

Please do make the most of social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter to educate and spread positive messages and take as many Smiley photos as you can during the campaign.

Share them with us by posting them to our National Smile Month Facebook page, or through Twitter. Don’t forget to tag @smilemonth and use #SmileMonth.

Throughout the rest of this issue, we touch on subjects like Nominate a Smile, energy drinks, HPV vaccination and how to maintain good oral health when you’re living the fast life as a working 21st century adult.

I hope you enjoy this edition of Word of Mouth and have fun during National Smile Month.
